Delta Balustrades’ exclusive nDura handrail coating system has been approved as an authorised product by the London Underground.
The clear protective coating has been developed in-house by the Cheshire-based firm to be flame-resistant, anti-graffiti, anti-bacterial, scratch and solvent-resistant and warm to the touch.
It has now passed the thorough safety checks on flammability and toxicity required for inclusion on the London Underground Products Register, meaning Delta Balustrades has the only balustrade system in the UK approved for below-ground stations.
A spokesperson for Delta Balustrades, commented: “We are delighted that nDura has been approved for use by the London Underground. After months of careful development, our team has produced an outstanding product that has received interest from a number of major companies.
“nDura is produced exclusively by Delta Balustrades for our range of handrail systems and because of its high resistance to damage, it is ideal for areas of heavy pedestrian traffic. Its anti-bacterial and anti-graffiti properties also make it an attractive product for education and health sectors.”
Delta Balustrades, based in Sandbach, conducts its own product development, manufacturing, finishing and installation.
