At Delta Balustrades, the whole team works to an ‘every day’s a learning day’ philosophy, and we recently moved that up a gear by holding a ‘Super Learning Day’ for clients, supply chain partners and associates.
Designed to offer bite-sized, digestible learning on topics relating to balustrade aesthetics, design and compliance, the event provided a forum for knowledge sharing. Our learning goals were shared in an atmosphere founded on the premise that there is always room for improvement and a more collaborative approach to driving best practice can help increase the pace of positive change.
As one of the delegates, Willmott Dixon’s national quality manager explained following the event: “We like the idea that Delta Balustrades is trying to share knowledge across the delivery chain and it chimes with what we’re doing within Willmott Dixon.
“Setting good practice depends upon acknowledging where you’ve made mistakes so that you can recognise areas for improvement and continue to work on delivering those improvements.”
With presentations and demonstrations from a cross section of Delta Balustrades’ design, contracts and operational team, along with invited speakers from the supply chain and BSI, the Super Learning Day was part of our commitment to articulating why we exist as a business – to help others succeed in what they do.
It’s an approach that is very much appreciated by delegates to our learning programme events. As a design manager from Galliford Try commented after the event: “We don’t always feel like we’re getting the support we need from the supply chain so it’s good to see that Delta Balustrades really is providing that high level of support for contractors and design teams and reaching out to work with us at an early stage.”
The Super Learning Day was the latest in a series of events paving the way for the launch of the Delta Academy, a dedicated continuous learning portal and events programme that goes live next month. For more information, contact Delta Balustrades on 01270 753383
