The construction of Pencoedtre High School by Bouygues UK was part of the £34m investment by the Vale of Glamorgan Council and Welsh Government.
The three-storey building with state-of-the-art facilities was built to accommodate 1250 pupils and as part of the 21st Century Schools programme to transform educational facilities.
