Kier Construction Ltd selected Delta to design, manufacture and install the Orbis balustrade and handrail system on the £17m St John Henry Newman Catholic School project.

Part of the Department of Education’s Priority School Building Programme Phase 2; Kier constructed two new, state of the art, buildings to replace older facilities, including new learning spaces, administration facilities, dining area and main hall.

In line with Department of Education’s specification requirements and Jestico and Whiles design; Delta installed 197 metres of extra height, Orbis balustrades with toughened, laminated, heat-soaked glass to the stairs. Ensuring the opaque glass panels were held in place with Delta’s signature bolt-through D-lugs.
